Finding out I was pregnant was a total whirlwind of emotions. I didn’t felt pregnant despite having positive tests, it was only hearing a heartbeat at an early scan which made me realise it was real! Despite no morning sickness, the tiredness was competing with my hormones that were all over the place, I had no idea how irrational, teary and emotional you could be in this trimester. It was not a fun rollercoaster to be on especially during celebrations and planning a wedding, trust me!
I was in India for my brother in law’s wedding and preprations . It was my 1st trimester when i was doing all the arrangements also was taking care of myself, everything went so smooth that 5months just went were, i had no idea.
We came back to Dubai after wedding and 1st thing which i did here was searched a perfect doctor for myself , who would be with me until delivery.
Feeling the baby kick for the first time was awesome. I was lying in bed watching some videos when I felt what was unmistakably a flutter. I asked my husband Sunil to try and feel what I could feel too!
I was so lucky as my husband friends had recently had babies, so alot answers, help, check list etc i got from them. Everything was so smooth but on 28th week of test i was diagnosed with gestational diabeties, which is very common these days but still i had to maintain my sugar levels. I followed all my doctors instructions and was able to maintain it till the end.
Reality hits as the day of birth was getting closer! now I was like – How do I only have three weeks to go!? How? Am I prepared? Am I ready? mixed with Bring It On! I cannot wait to meet our baby. Why is this taking so long! etc etc.
I called both, my mother and mother in law for help as they are more experienced and can help in all sort of things.
The bigger I get the more my body feels like it belongs to someone else hahaha….
As i was detected with gestational diabeties my doctor decided to induce the labour and try for normal delivery, the day came to an end but i was not dilating. My doctor tried her best and did all possible ways to have normal delivery but due to some circumstances doctor informed us that we will have to go for c section, well at that moment of time we were only concerned about our baby and what is best for my health, i got very nervous as this was the 1st time i was going through some surgery, but just in 15 min they took me to OT and it hardly took half hr when i 1st heard my baby crying. I felt nothing about surgery.
We had a baby girl and i cannot tell you guys how joyful it is to hear her 1st cry.
This whole pregnancy has blown my mind with what your body can achieve. It really is a miracle.

I m sure the feeling is beautiful ❤️❤️ Thanku for sharing your story, as I m all prepared to be a mother in less than 15 days .. let’s c how it goes for me …
